So with this image I was focusing on the pattern of the fence. I loved the leaves on the ground and where it says "Babson Ct" is what makes it different from an ordinary fence. The funny thing is that I have walked to boulevard like so many times and I never noticed it.So I actually didn't have to take many steps to make this one good, this was strangely the first picture I took of the fence and it actually came out good. I did struggle with my shadow though!! And to make this better, maybe I could show more of the plants that were at the bottom of the fence.
This is my Senior Year Advanced Photography blog. It shows my progress from the beginning to the end. The outcome is surprising.

Geo Patterns 3
Okay so this picture, like as soon as I saw the brick patters and the pattern of the fence, I really wanted to make the vine pop! I was determined. So I was kneeling on the ground to take this, so I wanted to show the vine and the brick between the fence post so I had to sit kind of wierd. My favorite thing about this image is the lime green leaves against the bright red vine! The hardest part was trying to decide if the picture was too bust. To make it better, I could play with the angles.
Geo Patterns 2
So for this image I wanted to get the pattern of the fence, but I really loved how perfect that flower was standing straight. I think this one came out as a good idea because you look at the flower but not only do you see the fence behind it. but it wraps around too. So at first I took the picture straight on, and then decided to focus on this one flower. My favorite thing about this picture is the color of the flower and even the green of the stem. I struggled because the flowers on the side frustrated me, but I just got over it. To make it better I could have shown more of the fence.
Geo Patterns 1
This photo was for the geometric patters and I used the fence as the patterns. My main goal was to take an ordinary pattern and capture the image from a view that you haven't seen before. Like everyone knows what a white fence looks like but with black eyed susans coming out and the American Flag in the back round makes it unique. I was walking up and down the street and then I was trying to find patterns that aren't boring. I like the flag in the back round the most in this picture. I had trouble getting this in an angle that wasn't awkward, I had to take many pictures. Maybe I could make it more straight so the pole isn't slanted and the fence isn't wierd.

Alfred Stieglitz
"Alfred Stieglitz was responsible for elevating photography from a craft to an Art Form"
I think this statement is true, because he believed in himself. The video shows him doing many different things in life, and always taking his camera with him. He made his goals to show the world that photography is real art.
"The quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance. "
That is the definition of art that dictionary.com gave me. If this was what Alfred was trying to prove, then that's what he did. He spent just as much time as any other artist working on his images. He spent vacation in Italy and Germany taking photos of people, places and things, just as a painter would spend their time painting. He expressed feeling very well in his photos. When he was with his wife and taking pictures of her, you could see the failure in their marriage from her body language from one of the photos in the film.
He made it significant because he dedicated his entire life to it. When he had a daughter and a family, he took photos of them, but couldn't focus on them because of his fierce passion for photography. He did motion photos, portraits and just random photos of the places he went to.
I think he succeeded in showing the world that photography isn't a lazy way to do art. People needed to see that it's not easy to capture a photo that is appealing to the eye. The thing with photography is that the photographer doesn't paint something to make it beautiful and unique, the photographer has to find something and take an amazing photo of it. They have to take something that's already completed and maybe not so pretty and create angle, and follow the rules of composition to make it am appealing photo, and that's not simple, but Alfred did it.

Ethan
This picture absolutely amazed me as soon as I captured it. Even though he is squinting, his eyes and the blue behind him are just amazing.
